۞ Nay, I swear by the setting of the stars -- 75 and, indeed, that is a most mighty oath, if you only knew -- 76 that this indeed is a noble Qur'an, 77 In Book well-guarded, 78 which none can touch except the purified. 79 a revelation from the Sustainer of all the worlds! 80 Is it this Statement that ye scorn, 81 And make [the thanks for] your provision that you deny [the Provider]? 82 Why, then, when the soul of the dying man reaches the throat, 83 And you at the moment are looking on, 84 and while We are closer to him than you, although you see [Us] not: 85 if you are not subject to anyone's authority, 86 do you not restore his soul, if you are truthful? 87 Then if he be of the broughtnigh. 88 Then happiness and bounty and a garden of bliss. 89 And if one happens to be of those who have attained to righteousness, 90 he will be welcomed by the words: “Peace to you” from the People on the Right. 91 And if he be of the beliers, the erring, 92 Then an entertainment of boiling water. 93 And roasting in a Blaze. 94 Indeed, this is the certain truth. 95 So exalt the name of your Lord, the Most Great. 96
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
End of Surah: The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah). Sent down in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
