The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the forenoon (after sun-rise); 1 and the brooding night! 2 your Lord has not forsaken you, nor is He displeased with you, 3 And verily the latter portion will be better for thee than the former, 4 And soon will your Lord give you so that you shall be well pleased. 5 Did He not find thee an orphan and give thee shelter (and care)? 6 Did He not find thee erring, and guide thee? 7 And found thee in want, and given thee sufficiency? 8 So do not oppress the orphan, 9 Therefor the beggar drive not away, 10 But the bounty of the Lord - rehearse and proclaim! 11
