The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
46 verses, revealed in Mecca after The News (Al-Naba') before Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those that pluck out vehemently 1 by the drawers (the angels of death), gently drawing (the souls of the believers), 2 And by those who glide along (on errands of mercy), 3 And then they speed with foremost speed. 4 And those who arrange [each] matter, 5 On the day when the first trumpet sound blasts 6 Followed by the second blast, 7 Hearts that Day will be in agitation; 8 Their eyes cast down. 9 (Now) they are saying: Shall we really be restored to our first state 10 After having turned to carious bones?" 11 They say: Then that would be a vain proceeding. 12 But all it will take is a single blast, 13 And they will wake up suddenly. 14 Have you received the story of Moses? 15 Recall what time his Lord called unto him in the holy vale of Tuwa. 16 Saying: go thou unto Fir'awn; verily he hath waxen exorbitant. 17 “Tell him ‘Do you have the inclination to become pure?’ 18 Then I will guide thee to thy Lord and thou shalt fear (Him). 19 And he showed him the tremendous token. 20 In response, he denied and disobeyed. 21 Further, he turned his back, striving hard (against Allah). 22 And he summoned all his people, 23 Yet to a rich man, 24 So Allah seized him with the punishment of the Everlasting Life, and of this world. 25 Most surely there is in this a lesson to him who fears. 26

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
