Yet man says: "When I am dead, will I come to life again?" 66 Doth not man remember that We created him before, when he was naught? 67 By your Lord, We shall most surely gather them and the devils too; and bring them close to hell on their knees. 68 from every party We will pluck out whichever of them was the most hardened in disdain of the Most Merciful. 69 We surely know best those most deserving of the fires of hell, 70 And there is not one of you but shall come to it; this is an unavoidable decree of your Lord. 71 Then We shall deliver those that were godfearing; and the evildoers We shall leave there, hobbling on their knees. 72 When Our clear revelations are recited to those who deny the Truth they are wont to say to those who have faith: "Which of the two groups has a better status and whose assemblies are grander?" 73 And how many a generation (past nations) have We destroyed before them, who were better in wealth, goods and outward appearance? 74 Say, "Whoever is in error - let the Most Merciful extend for him an extension [in wealth and time] until, when they see that which they were promised - either punishment [in this world] or the Hour [of resurrection] - they will come to know who is worst in position and weaker in soldiers." 75 Allah will increase those who were guided in guidance and things that abide. Good deeds are better in reward with your Lord, and, better in return. 76 And hast thou ever considered [the kind of man] who is bent on denying the truth of Our messages and says, "I will surely be given wealth and children"? 77 Has he looked into the unseen, or has he taken from the Most Merciful a promise? 78 Absolutely not, We will record his words and prolong his punishment. 79 And We will inherit of him what he says, and he shall come to Us alone. 80 And they have taken (for worship) aliha (gods) besides Allah, that they might give them honour, power and glory (and also protect them from Allah's Punishment etc.). 81 But they shall reject their worship and turn against them. 82
