We did not create this heaven and earth and all that lies between them in vain. That is the fancy of those who denied the Truth. So woe from the Fire to all who deny the Truth. 27 Shall We treat those who believe and work deeds of righteousness, the same as those who do mischief on earth? Shall We treat those who guard against evil, the same as those who turn aside from the right? 28 (This is) a Scripture that We have revealed unto thee, full of blessing, that they may ponder its revelations, and that men of understanding may reflect. 29 And to David We gave Solomon. An excellent servant, indeed he was one repeatedly turning back [to Allah]. 30 When fast footed steeds were presented to him at evening. 31 he said: 'Indeed I have loved the love of good things better than the remembrance of my Lord until the sun has vanished behind a veil. 32 Bring them back to me' And he hacked their legs and necks (slaughtering them for Allah). 33 We surely tried Solomon, and placed another body on his throne. So he turned to God 34 He said: 'Forgive me my Lord, and give me a kingdom the like of which will not befall any after me, surely, You are the Giver' 35 So We subjected the wind to him, so that it ran softly by his command wherever he wished; 36 And We subjected to him the evil ones: every builder and diver. 37 And many others bound in bond. 38 [And We told him:] "This is Our gift, for thee to bestow freely on others, or to withhold, without [having to render] account!" 39 And he enjoyed, indeed, a Near Approach to Us, and a beautiful Place of (Final) Return. 40
