▼ 55 The All Compassionate
Al-Rahman 3 of 3
But for him who lived in awe of the sublimity of his Lord, there will be two gardens -- 46 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? - 47 Of spreading branches. 48 Which of your Lord's favours will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 49 In which, will be two fountains running. 50 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 51 Therein are two kinds of every fruit. 52 Which of the favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? -- 53 Reclining upon the couches lined with silk brocade, and the fruits of the two Gardens will be near at hand. 54 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 55 therein maidens restraining their glances, untouched before them by any man or jinn -- 56 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 57 As (lovely as) rubies and as (beautiful as) coral. 58 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 59 Is the reward for good [anything] but good? 60 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 61 And besides them, there are two more Gardens. 62 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 63 Dark-green in colour (from plentiful watering). 64 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 65 Therein are two gushing fountains of water. 66 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 67 In both of them are fruit and palm trees and pomegranates. 68 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 69 In them are good and beautiful women - 70 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 71 [There the blest will live with their] companions pure and modest, in pavilions [splendid] 72 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 73 untouched before them by any man or jinn -- 74 Which of the favours of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 75 [They will live in such a paradise] reclining upon green cushions and the finest carpets. 76 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 77 Blessed be the Name of thy Lord, majestic, splendid. 78
