Moses said, "My Lord! open up my heart, 25 And ease my task for me; 26 Unloose the knot upon my tongue, 27 "That they understand my speech, 28 “And appoint for me a viceroy from among my family.” 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 to support me. 31 and let him share my task 32 "That we may glorify You much, 33 and remember you often. 34 You are surely watching over us. 35 He said: Thou art granted thy request, O Moses. 36 And assuredly We conferred a benefit on thee another time. 37 When We inspired to your mother what We inspired, 38 Place him in a chest and throw it into the river, and thereupon the river will cast him ashore, [and] one who is an enemy unto Me and an enemy unto him will adopt him. "And [thus early] I spread Mine Own love over thee - and [this] in order that thou might be formed under Mine eye. 39 What time thy sister was walking along and saying: shall I direct you unto one who will take care of him? Thus We returned thee to thy mother that she might cool her eyes and she might not grieve. And thou slewest a person, but We delivered thee from sorrow, and We tried thee with several trials. Then thou tarriedst for years among the people of Madyan then thou camest according to fate, O Musa! 40 And I produced you for Myself. 41 Go, you and your brother, with My signs and do not slacken in My remembrance. 42 “Both of you go to Firaun; he has indeed rebelled.” 43 But speak unto him in a mild manner, so that he might bethink himself or [at least] be filled with apprehension. 44 The two said:" Lord! We fear he may commit excesses against us, or transgress all bounds." 45 Answered He: "Fear not! Verily, I shall be with you two, hearing and seeing [all]. 46 "So go you both to him, and say: 'Verily, we are Messengers of your Lord, so let the Children of Israel go with us, and torment them not; indeed, we have come with a sign from your Lord! And peace will be upon him who follows the guidance! 47 Indeed, it has been revealed to us that the punishment will be upon whoever denies and turns away.' " 48 Pharaoh said, 'Who is your Lord, Moses?' 49 He said, 'Our Lord is He who gave everything its creation, then guided it.' 50 Pharaoh asked, "What about the previous generations?" 51 [Musa (Moses)] said: "The knowledge thereof is with my Lord, in a Record. My Lord is neither unaware nor He forgets, " 52 It is He who made the earth a bed for you, and traced for you paths upon it, and sends down water from the sky, and brings out through it every kind of vegetation 53 so eat and graze your cattle. In this there are signs for men of understanding. 54
