Hizb 46

So also was Jonah among those sent (by Us). 139 He ran away to the laden ship, 140 He (agreed to) cast lots, and he was among the losers, 141 The fish then swallowed him and he blamed himself. (For not waiting for Allah’s command.) 142 and had he not been among those who exalt (Allah), 143 he would certainly have remained in its belly till the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ We cast him out of the fish unto dry land and he was sick. 145 And We caused to grow, over him, a spreading plant of the gourd kind. 146 Then We sent him unto a hundred thousand, or more, 147 And they believed, therefor We gave them comfort for a while. 148 Now ask them whether your Lord has daughters, whereas they have sons. 149 Or did We create the angels females, while they were witnesses? 150 It is only because of their false invention that they say, 151 God hath begotten. Verily they are the liars. 152 Has He chosen daughters above sons? 153 What ails you that you judge in such a wise? 154 Will you not then mind? 155 Or have you a clear authority? 156 Then produce your scriptures, if you are telling the truth. 157 And they have appointed a relationship between Him and the jinns; and indeed the jinns surely know that they will be brought forth. 158 God is far above what they attribute to Him, 159 but not so the true servants of God, 160 Lo! verily, ye and that which ye worship, 161 you shall not tempt any against Him 162 Except such as are (themselves) going to the blazing Fire! 163 (Those ranged in ranks say): "Not one of us but has a place appointed; 164 we are those who stand ranged in ranks. 165 and we glorify God". 166 They used to say before: 167 If we had but a reminder from the men of old 168 then were we God's sincere servants.' 169 But (now) they disbelieve in it, so they will come to know. 170 And Our word has already preceded for Our servants, the messengers, 171 That verily they! they shall be made triumphant. 172 And that Our host, they verily would be the victors. 173 So turn thou away from them for a little while, 174 And wait; they will come to know soon. 175 Do they wish (indeed) to hurry on our Punishment? 176 When it lights in their courtyard, how evil will be the morning of them that are warned! 177 So turn (away) from them for a while, 178 And watch (how they fare) and they soon shall see (how thou farest)! 179 Glorified be your Lord, the Lord of Honour and Power! (He is free) from what they attribute unto Him! 180 And peace is upon the Noble Messengers. 181 and all praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Universe. 182
True are the words of God the Almighty.
