Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 storming tempestuously 2 by the scatterers scattering 3 And those [angels] who bring criterion 4 and then giving forth a reminder, 5 to provide excuses for some and to give warnings to others: 6 that which you have been promised shall be fulfilled. 7 When the stars are obliterated, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder 9 and when the mountains are scattered like dust, 10 and when the Messengers' time is set, 11 For what day is that time fixed? 12 To the Day of Judgement. 13 And what knowest thou what the Day of Decision is? 14 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 15 Did We not destroy [so many of] those [sinners] of olden days? 16 Then did We follow them up with later ones. 17 [for] thus do We deal with such as are lost in sin. 18 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 19 Have We not created you from a fluid (held) despicable?- 20 We then kept it in a safe place. 21 For a known term? 22 See that We had the power to do so. Great indeed is Our power to do what We will. 23 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 24 Did We not make the earth a storehouse? 25 for the living and the dead? 26 And placed in it lofty and broad stablisers, and gave you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 28 Walk on to that which you called a lie. 29 "Depart ye to a Shadow (of smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 unshading against the blazing flame 31 Indeed, it throws sparks [as huge] as a fortress, 32 As if they were Jimalatun Sufr (yellow camels or bundles of ropes)." 33 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 34 This is the Day they shall not speak, 35 And they will not be permitted to put forth any excuse. 36 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 37 That will be a Day of Decision! We have brought you and the men of old together! 38 If now ye have any craft, try that craft upon Me. 39 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 40
