3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
And indeed, [it was for this reason that] Noah cried unto Us - and how excellent was Our response: 75 We delivered him and his household from the great calamity; 76 and made his offspring the only ones to survive, 77 And We left (this blessing) for him among generations to come in later times: 78 'Peace be upon Noah among all beings!' 79 Thus do We reward all those who do good. 80 Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. 81 Then afterwards We drowned the rest. 82 ۞ And indeed Ibrahim is from his (Nooh’s) group. 83 when he turned to his Sustainer with a heart free of evil, 84 and said to his father and his people: “Whom do you worship? 85 It is falsehood that you desire gods other than Allah! 86 what, then, is your opinion of the Lord of the worlds? 87 He cast a glance at the stars 88 and he said, 'Surely I am sick.' 89 But they turned their backs on him and went away. 90 Then he turned to their gods and said, "Do you not eat? 91 Why do you not speak?" 92 And then he fell upon them, smiting them with his right hand. 93 Thereupon the people came running to him. 94 He said, “What! You worship what you yourselves have sculpted?” 95 when it is God who has created you and all your handiwork?" 96 They said: Build for him a furnace, then cast him into the burning fire. 97 They plotted against him, but We brought humiliation upon them. 98 He said, "I will go to my Lord: He is sure to guide me. 99 Lord, grant me a righteous son." 100 So We gave him the good news of a boy, possessing forbearance. 101 And when (his son) was old enough to walk with him, (Abraham) said: O my dear son, I have seen in a dream that I must sacrifice thee. So look, what thinkest thou? He said: O my father! Do that which thou art commanded. Allah willing, thou shalt find me of the steadfast. 102 But as soon as the two had surrendered themselves to [what they thought to be] the will of God, and [Abraham] had laid him down on his face, 103 And We called out to him, “O Ibrahim!” 104 you have confirmed your vision' As such We recompense the gooddoers. 105 That was indeed a trying test. 106 Then We ransomed him with a tremendous victim. 107 And We left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 108 'Peace be upon Abraham' 109 Thus do We reward the good-doers. 110 Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. 111 Then We gave him the good tidings of Isaac, a Prophet, one of the righteous. 112 and We blessed him and Isaac, and from their offspring are some gooddoers, and others who clearly wronged themselves. 113
