The Heifer (Al-Baqarah)

286 verses, revealed in Medina after The Cheaters (Al-Mutaffifeen) before The Spoils of War (Al-Anfaal)

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful

Alif-Lam-Mim. 1 This is The Book free of doubt and involution, a guidance for those who preserve themselves from evil and follow the straight path, 2 who believe in the Unseen, and perform the prayer, and expend of that We have provided them; 3 And who believe in that which hath been sent down unto thee and that which hath been sent down before thee and of the Hereafter they are convinced. 4 They are on (true) guidance from their Lord, and they are the successful. 5 Those who deny your message will not believe whether you warn them or not 6 Allah has set a seal upon their hearts and upon their hearing, and over their vision is a veil. And for them is a great punishment. 7
