He it is Who sends down water for you from the sky out of which you drink and out of which grow the plants on which you pasture your cattle, 10 Therewith He causeth crops to grow for you, and the olive and the date-palm and grapes and all kinds of fruit. Lo! herein is indeed a portent for people who reflect. 11 And He hath constrained the night and the day and the sun and the moon to be of service unto you, and the stars are made subservient by His command. Lo! herein indeed are portents for people who have sense. 12 And there are also Signs for those who take heed in the numerous things of various colours that He has created for you on earth. 13 It is God who put the oceans at your disposal so that you could find therein fresh fish for food and ornaments with which to deck yourselves with. You will find ships that sail for you so that you may travel in search of the bounties of God and give Him thanks. 14 And He cast on the earth firm mountains, lest it shake with you, and rivers and ways; so haply you will be guided; 15 And landmarks (too), and by the star they find a way. 16 Is then He, Who creates as one who creates not? Will you not then remember? 17 And if ye would count the favour of Allah ye cannot reckon it. Lo! Allah is indeed Forgiving, Merciful. 18 God knows what you hide and disclose. 19 Those whom they (Al-Mushrikun) invoke besides Allah have not created anything, but are themselves created. 20 Dead, without life they are, and do not know when they will be raised. 21

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
