۞ And Allah has proclaimed, “Do not ascribe two Gods; indeed He is the only One God; therefore fear Me alone.” 51 His is whatever is in the heavens and the earth, and obedience to Him inevitably pervades the whole universe. Will you, then, hold in awe any other than Allah? 52 And ye have no good thing but is from Allah: and moreover, when ye are touched by distress, unto Him ye cry with groans; 53 yet no sooner does He relieve your distress than some among you set up other partners besides their Lord, 54 showing no gratitude for what We have given them. Enjoy yourselves awhile; but soon you will know! 55 And they assign a portion of that which We have given them unto what they know not. By Allah! but ye will indeed be asked concerning (all) that ye used to invent. 56 They ascribe daughters to Allah exaltations to Him! But they themselves would have what they desire! 57 When if one of them receiveth tidings of the birth of a female, his face remaineth darkened, and he is wroth inwardly. 58 He hideth himself from the folk because of the evil of that whereof he hath had tidings, (asking himself): Shall he keep it in contempt, or bury it beneath the dust. Verily evil is their judgment. 59 To those who believe not in the Hereafter, applies the similitude of evil: to Allah applies the highest similitude: for He is the Exalted in Power, full of Wisdom. 60
