The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca. First revelation of the Quran before The Pen (Al-Qalam)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
Recite: In the Name of thy Lord who created, 1 He created man from a clot. 2 Read - for thy Sustainer is the Most Bountiful One 3 Who taught (to write) with the pen 4 The One Who taught man all what he did not know. 5 By no means: Verily man exorbitateth. 6 because he thinks that he is independent. 7 Verily, to thy Lord is the return (of all). 8 What thinkest thou? He who forbids 9 A slave (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) when he prays? 10 What will happen if the praying person is rightly guided 11 Or enjoins righteousness? 12 Do you see how he has denied the truth and turned away from it? 13 Does he, then, not know that God sees [all]? 14 No! If he does not desist, We will surely drag him by the forelock - 15 his lying, sinful forelock. 16 Then, let him call (for help) to his council (of comrades): 17 [the while] We shall summon the forces of heavenly chastisement! 18 Nay! (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him))! Do not obey him (Abu Jahl). Fall prostrate and draw near to Allah! ۩ 19
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.

ColorfulQuran.com displays pages in one of three Arabic fonts. Each may appear with a one-third chance, adding more diversity to the already diverse colors. And the words remain unchanged forever. ColorfulQuran.com will have more beautiful fonts soon, God willing.
