T H (Taa Haa)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ Ta-Ha. 1 We have not sent down the Koran to you for you to be tired, 2 But as a reminder unto him who feareth, 3 A revelation from Him who created the earth and the high ascending skies, 4 the Merciful willed to the Throne. 5 To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth, and whatever lies in between them, and all that lies under the ground. 6 Whether you speak out aloud (or in a low voice), He knows what is said secretly, and even that which is most hidden. 7 God is the only Lord and to Him belong all the exalted Names. 8 Has the story of Moses come to you? 9 When he saw the fire, he said to his family, "Wait here for I can see a fire. Perhaps I shall bring you a burning torch or find a way to some fire". 10 When he came close to it, a voice called out, "Moses, 11 Surely I am your Lord, therefore put off your shoes; surely you are in the sacred valley, Tuwa, 12 And I have chosen you, so listen to what is revealed [to you]. 13 I am God. There is no deity save Me; so worship Me alone, and say your prayers in My remembrance. 14 Verily the Hour (of the great change) is about to come. I keep it secret that every soul may be rewarded for its endeavour. 15 Hence, let not anyone who does not believe in its coming and follows [but] his own desires divert thee from [belief in] it, lest thou perish! 16 What is that, Moses, thou hast in thy right hand?' 17 He replied, "It is my staff. I lean on it, and with it, I beat down the leaves for my flock; I also have other uses for it." 18 He said: Cast it down, O Musa! 19 So Moosa put it down – thereupon it became a fast moving serpent. 20 [Allah] said, "Seize it and fear not; We will return it to its former condition. 21 And place your hand in your armpit, it will come forth shining white, without blemish. This is another Sign of Allah, 22 So We would show thee some of Our greatest signs. 23 "Go to Fir'aun (Pharaoh)! Verily, he has transgressed (all bounds in disbelief and disobedience, and has behaved as an arrogant, and as a tyrant)." 24
