Al-nahl 14 of 16
And when We put a revelation in place of (another) revelation, - and Allah knoweth best what He revealeth - they say: Lo! thou art but inventing. Most of them know not. 101 Say thou: the Holy Spirit hath brought it down from thy Lord with truth, that it may establish those who believe, and as a guidance and glad tidings unto the Muslims. 102 Surely We know well that they say about you: "It is only a human being who teaches him," (notwithstanding) that he whom they maliciously hint at is of foreign tongue, while this (Qur'an) is plain Arabic speech. 103 Those who believe not in the Signs of Allah,- Allah will not guide them, and theirs will be a grievous Penalty. 104 None forge lies except those who disbelieve the verses of Allah those, they are the liars. 105 The one who disbelieves in Allah after accepting faith – except him who is forced to and whose heart is still firmly upon faith – but whoever is wholeheartedly a disbeliever, upon them is the wrath of Allah; and for them is a great punishment. 106 That is because they love the life of this world more than the Hereafter; and Allah does not guide those who are ungrateful to Allah for His favours. 107 Those are they whose hearts, ears, and eyes Allah has sealed up, and they take no heed. 108 Assuredly in the Hereafter they are the losers. 109 ۞ Surely, your Lord will be forgiving and merciful towards those who migrated after persecution and strove hard for the cause of God and remained steadfast. 110

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
