Said [Moses]: "O my Sustainer! Open up my heart [to Thy light,] 25 "Ease my task for me; 26 Remove the defect of my tongue 27 “In order that they may understand my speech.” 28 "And give me a Minister from my family, 29 “That is Haroon, my brother.” 30 Strengthen by him my back. 31 and let him share my task 32 so that [together] we might abundantly extol Thy limitless glory 33 And remember You much. 34 “Indeed You see us.” 35 (Allah) said: "Granted is thy prayer, O Moses!" 36 We have bestowed Our favour on you before this 37 when We revealed Our will to your mother, saying, 38 Saying: Put him into a chest, then cast it down into the river, then the river shall throw him on the shore; there shall take him up one who is an enemy to Me and enemy to him, and I cast down upon you love from Me, and that you might be brought up before My eyes; 39 Recall, when your sister went along, saying: 'Shall I direct you to one who will take charge of him?' Thus We brought you back to your mother so that her heart might be gladdened and she might not grieve. Moses, recall when you slew a person. We delivered you from distress and made you go through several trials. Then you stayed for several years among the people of Midian, and now you have come at the right moment as ordained. 40 "And I have Istana'tuka, for Myself. 41 “You and your brother, both go with My signs, and do not slacken in My remembrance.” 42 Go both of you to the Pharaoh; he has become a rebel. 43 Speak to him gently. He may possibly take heed or may come to have fear." 44 They said: Our Lord! Lo! we fear that he may be beforehand with us or that he may play the tyrant. 45 He said: Fear not. Lo! I am with you twain, Hearing and Seeing. 46 Go to him and say, 'We are both messengers from your Lord. Let the Children of Israel go with us, and do not oppress them. We have brought you a Sign from your Lord, and may peace be upon whoever follows the right guidance; 47 "'Verily it has been revealed to us that the Penalty (awaits) those who reject and turn away.'" 48 (Firon) said: And who is your Lord, O Musa? 49 He said: "Our Lord is He Who gave to each (created) thing its form and nature, and further, gave (it) guidance." 50 (Pharaoh) said: "What then is the condition of previous generations?" 51 Moses said: "Its knowledge is with my Lord, recorded in the Book. My Lord does not err, nor does He forget." 52 HE IT IS who has made the earth a cradle for you, and has traced out for you ways [of livelihood] thereon, and [who] sends down waters from the sky: and by this means We bring forth various kinds of plants. 53 Eat, [then, of this produce of the soil,] and pasture your cattle [thereon]. In all this, behold, there are messages indeed for those who are endowed with reason: 54
