And whosoever does deeds of righteousness, being a believer, no unthankfulness shall befall his endeavour; We Ourselves write it down for him. 94 Hence, it has been unfailingly true of any community whom We have ever destroyed that they [were people who] would never turn back [from their sinful ways] 95 Until, when Gog and Magog are let loose, and they hasten out of every mound, 96 the while the true promise [of resurrection] draws close [to its fulfillment]. But then, lo! the eyes of those who [in their lifetime] were bent on denying the truth will stare in horror, [and they will exclaim:] "Oh, woe unto us! We were indeed heedless of this [promise of resurrection]! - nay, we were [bent on] doing evil!" 97 Verily you and those you worship other than God will be faggots for Hell; and come to it you will. 98 Had these been gods, they would not have come to it and all shall abide therein. 99 There they shall groan with anguish and the din and noise in Hell will not let them hear anything. 100 Those for whom the good (record) from Us has gone before, will be removed far therefrom. 101 And they will not hear its faintest sound; and they will forever abide in whatever their hearts desire. 102 The greatest terror shall not grieve them, and the angels will receive them: 'This is the Day you have been promised' 103 The day when We shall roll up the heavens as the recording angel rolls up the register of deeds; We shall make him similar to Our making him the first time; this is a promise upon Us; We certainly have to do it. 104 For We have written in the Psalms, after the Remembrance, 'The earth shall be the inheritance of My righteous servants.' 105 Verily in this is a preaching for a people who are worshippers. 106 We sent thee not, but as a Mercy for all creatures. 107 Say: "This is what has been revealed to me: 'Your God is one and only God.' So will you bow in homage to Him?" 108 Then, if they should turn their backs, say: 'I have proclaimed to you all equally, even though I know not whether near or far is that you are promised.' 109 Verily He knoweth that which is public in speech, and He knoweth that which ye hide. 110 But [as for me,] I do not know whether, perchance, this [delay in God's judgment] is but a trial for you, and a [merciful] respite for a while." 111 The Messenger said: "My Lord! Judge with truth. Our Compassionate Lord alone is our support against your (blasphemous) utterances." 112
