Now, behold, this [divine writ] has indeed been bestowed from on high by the Sustainer of all the worlds: 192 With it came down the spirit of Faith and Truth- 193 Upon thy heart, that thou mayest be of the warners, 194 In plain Arabic language. 195 (a revelation embodied) in the scriptures of the ancients. 196 And was this not a sign for them, that the scholars of the Descendants of Israel may recognise this Prophet? 197 If We had revealed it to a nonArab, 198 and had he recited it unto them [in his own tongue,] they would not have believed in it. 199 Thus have We caused it (the denial of the Quran) to enter the hearts of the Mujrimun (criminals, polytheists, sinners, etc.). 200 They will not believe it until they behold the painful punishment. 201 It shall come to them of a sudden, while they perceive it not; 202 Then they will say: "Shall we be respited?" 203 Do they really want Our chastisement to be expedited? 204 What thinkest thou? If We give them enjoyment of days for many years, 205 Yet there comes to them at length the (Punishment) which they were promised! 206 what will it then avail them, the enjoyment of days they were given? 207 And We did not destroy any city except that it had warners 208 and reminded: for, never do We wrong [anyone]. 209 The devils did not bring it down. 210 It is not allowable for them, nor would they be able. 211 Indeed they have been banished from the place of hearing. 212 (Muhammad), do not worship anything besides God lest you suffer the punishment. 213 And warn thy tribe of near kindred, 214 And lower thy wing (in kindness) unto those believers who follow thee. 215 but if they disobey thee, say: "I am free of responsibility for aught that you may do!" 216 And put thy trust in the Mighty, the Merciful. 217 Who seeth thee when thou standest up (to pray) 218 and [sees] thy behaviour among those who prostrate themselves [before Him]: 219 For it is He Who heareth and knoweth all things. 220 Shall I inform you upon whom the devils descend? 221 They descend on every sinful, false one. 222 They give ear, but most of them are liars. 223 And the poets - [only] the deviators follow them; 224 Do you not see that in every valley they roam 225 and say things which they do not act upon, 226 Save those who believed and worked righteous works and remembered Allah much, and vindicated themselves after they had been wronged. And anon those who do wrong shall come to know with what a translating they shall be translated. 227
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
