The warnings came also to Pharaoh's folk. 41 The (people) rejected all Our Signs; but We seized them with such Penalty (as comes) from One Exalted in Power, able to carry out His Will. 42 Are the unbelievers among you any better than they? Or is there immunity for you in the Scriptures? 43 Or do they say: 'We are a gathering that will be victorious' 44 The group will soon be routed, and will turn their backs to flee. 45 Aye! the Hour is their appointed term, and the Hour shall be far more grievous and far more bitter. 46 Verily, the Mujrimun (polytheists, disbelievers, sinners, criminals, etc.) are in error (in this world) and will burn (in the Hell-fire in the Hereafter). 47 On the Day when they are dragged on their faces into the Fire, (it will be said to them): 'Taste the touch of the Scorching' 48 Indeed, We have created all things according to a measure. 49 It takes only a single command from Us (to bring the Day of Judgment) and that can be achieved within the twinkling of an eye. 50 We destroyed many people like you (disbelievers) but is there anyone who would take heed (of Our warning)? 51 [They were truly guilty] because all [the evil] that they ever did had been [revealed to them as such] in the [ancient] books of [divine] wisdom; 52 And everything, small and great, hath been written down. 53 Surely the godfearing shall dwell amid gardens and a river 54 in a secure abode, in the presence of the Powerful King. 55
