3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
Noah cried to Us, and how excellent was Our response! 75 And We saved him and his household from the great distress, 76 And made his progeny to endure (on this earth); 77 And left (his name) for posterity. 78 "Peace and salutation to Noah among the nations!" 79 As such We recompense the gooddoers, 80 Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. 81 Then the rest we overwhelmed in the Flood. 82 ۞ And, verily, among those who followed his [Nuh's (Noah)] way (Islamic Monotheism) was Ibrahim (Abraham). 83 he came to his Lord with a sound heart. 84 When he said to his father and to his people: "What is it that which you worship? 85 "Is it a falsehood- gods other than Allah- that ye desire? 86 "Then what is your idea about the Lord of the worlds?" 87 Then he cast a glance at the stars (to deceive them), 88 And he said: "Verily, I am sick (with plague. He did this trick to remain in their temple of idols to destroy them and not to accompany them to the pagan's feast)." 89 And they turned their backs and went away from him. 90 Then he turned to their gods, and said, 'What do you eat? 91 What ails you, that you speak not?' 92 And he turned upon them smiting them with his right hand. 93 So they (people) advanced towards him, hastening. 94 He said, “What! You worship what you yourselves have sculpted?” 95 when it is God who has created you and all your handiwork?" 96 They said, 'Build him a building, and cast him into the furnace!' 97 Their desire was to outwit him, but We made them to be the humiliated. 98 And [then] he said, "Indeed, I will go to [where I am ordered by] my Lord; He will guide me. 99 My Lord, grant me [a child] from among the righteous." 100 And We gave him the glad tidings of a very gentle son (Ishmael). 101 And when (his son) was old enough to walk with him, (Abraham) said: O my dear son, I have seen in a dream that I must sacrifice thee. So look, what thinkest thou? He said: O my father! Do that which thou art commanded. Allah willing, thou shalt find me of the steadfast. 102 So when they both submitted and he threw him down upon his forehead, 103 And We called out to him: "O Abraham! 104 You have fulfilled your dream." Thus do We reward the good. 105 This was indeed a plain trial. 106 And We ransomed him with a mighty sacrifice, 107 And left (his hallowed memory) for posterity. 108 Peace be upon Abraham. 109 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 110 He is truly among Our faithful creatures. 111 And We gave him the glad tidings of Ishaq, a Herald of the Hidden, from among those who deserve Our proximity. 112 And We blessed him and Is-haq; and of their offspring are some well-doers and some who wrong themselves manifestly. 113
