Hast thou not regarded those who dispute concerning the signs of God, how they are turned about? 69 they who give the lie to this divine writ and [thus] to all [the messages] with which We sent forth Our apostles [of old]? But in time they will come to know [how blind they have been: they will know it on Judgment Day,] 70 When around their necks will be shackles and chains; they will be dragged. – 71 In boiling water; then in the Fire they will be filled [with flame]. 72 It will then be said to them: “Where are those whom you 73 associated with Allah in His Divinity?” They will say: “We have lost them; rather, we never used to call upon anyone before.” Thus will Allah cause them to stumble in error. 74 (And it is said unto them): This is because ye exulted in the earth without right, and because ye were petulant. 75 Enter [now] the gates of hell, therein to abide: and how vile an abode for all who are given to false pride!" 76 (Muhammad), exercise patience. The promise of God is true. Whether We let you witness the suffering with which they were threatened or because of your death (you do not see them suffering,), We shall still punish them when they return to Us (on the Day of Judgment). 77 Verily We sent messengers before thee, among them those of whom We have told thee, and some of whom We have not told thee; and it was not given to any messenger that he should bring a portent save by Allah's leave, but when Allah's commandment cometh (the cause) is judged aright, and the followers of vanity will then be lost. 78
