Elucidated (Fussilat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Ha Mim. 1 A revelation from Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful. 2 The verses of this Book have been fully expounded. It is a reading in the Arabic language for the people of knowledge. 3 As a giver of good tidings and a warner; but most of them turn away, so they do not hear. 4 They say: “Our hearts are securely wrapped up against what you call us to, and in our ears is a heaviness, and between you and us there is a veil. So act; we too are acting.” 5 Proclaim (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), “Physically I am a human like you – I receive the divine revelation that your God is only One God, therefore be upright towards Him and seek forgiveness from Him”; and woe is to the polytheists. – 6 (To) those who do not give poor-rate and they are unbelievers in the hereafter. 7 The righteously striving believers will have a never-ending reward". 8
