Q (Qaaf)
45 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat) before The Town (Al-Balad)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Qaf. By the glorious Quran! 1 But they wonder that there has come to them a warner from among themselves, and the disbelievers say, "This is an amazing thing. 2 Shall we be brought back when we are dead and have become dust? That is a return remote! 3 We know that which the earth taketh of them, and with Us is a recording Book. 4 They gave the lie to the Truth when it came to them. So they are now in a state of great perplexity. 5 What, have they never observed the heaven above them, (and seen) how We built and adorned it, leaving no crack? 6 We stretched the earth and placed upon it firm stabilisers and We made every kind of splendid thing to grow upon it 7 To give sight and as a reminder to every servant who turns frequently (to Allah). 8 And We send down blessed water (rain) from the sky, then We produce therewith gardens and grain (every kind of harvests) that are reaped. 9 and tall palm-trees with their thickly-clustered dates, 10 as a provision for the worshipers; thereby We revived a land that was dead. Such shall be the emerging. 11 The people of Noah, Ar-Rass and Thamud denied before you, 12 The 'Ad, Pharaoh, the brethren of Lut, 13 the dwellers of the Thicket and the nation of Tubba', all belied their Messengers, therefore My threat was realized. 14 So did We tire by creating the first time? Rather they doubt being created again. 15

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
