The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 Who created and proportioned 2 Who hath ordained laws. And granted guidance; 3 who brought forth the pasturage 4 and thereupon causes it to decay into rust-brown stubble! 5 We will make you recite, [O Muhammad], and you will not forget, 6 Except what Allah pleases, surely He knows the manifest, and what is hidden. 7 We shall ease you to the easy. 8 So remind them if reminder is profitable: 9 He who fears (Allah) shall heed it, 10 But it will be avoided by those most unfortunate ones, 11 he who [in the life to come] shall have to endure the great fire 12 wherein they will neither live nor die. 13 He is successful who groweth, 14 and mentions the Name of his Lord, and prays. 15 But you prefer the worldly life, 16 While the Hereafter is better and more enduring. 17 This indeed is what is taught in the former scriptures -- 18 the scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
