Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
60 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Dunes (Al-Ahqaaf) before Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the winds that scatter the dust, 1 And the clouds bearing a load. 2 And those who move (on the water) gently, 3 Then those (angels who) distribute blessings by Our command; 4 indeed, that which you are promised is true, 5 And verily the Requital is surely to befall. 6 By the heaven containing pathways, 7 Certainly, you have different ideas (about Muhammad SAW and the Quran). 8 He is turned away from it who would be turned away. 9 Cursed be the liars, 10 Who are lost in deception. 11 They ask: When is the Day of Judgment? 12 On the Day of Judgment they will be punished by the fire 13 [and will be told:] "Taste this your trial! It is this that you were so hastily asking for!" 14 The righteous shall live among gardens and fountains, 15 Accepting what their Lord has given them. Indeed, they were before that doers of good. 16 sleeping little in the night-time, 17 And in the hours before dawn they would ask forgiveness, 18 and the beggar and the outcast had a share in their wealth. 19 There are signs in the earth for those who are firm in their faith, 20 And in your own selves; so can you not perceive? 21 In the heavens there is your sustenance and that which you were promised (Paradise). 22 Then by the Lord of the heaven and earth, indeed, it is truth - just as [sure as] it is that you are speaking. 23
