The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Ruin is for every open slanderer, backbiter. 1 Who accumulated wealth and hoarded it, counting. 2 He bethinketh that his wealth shall abide for him. 3 Never! He will certainly be thrown into the Crushing One. 4 And what shall make thee know that which the Crushing Fire is? 5 It is the fire kindled by God 6 Which rises above the hearts. 7 It will engulf them. 8 in its long columns of flames. 9

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
