The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
When the sun is folded up, 1 And when the stars darken, 2 And when the hills are moved, 3 when the pregnant camels shall be neglected, 4 And when the wild beasts shall be gathered together, 5 when the seas are set boiling, 6 and when all human beings are coupled [with their deeds,] 7 questions are asked about the baby girls buried alive, 8 For what sin she was killed, 9 when the scrolls are unrolled, 10 when the sky is unveiled, 11 And when the hell is kindled up, 12 and Paradise is brought near, 13 Every soul will then come know what it has brought. 14 So verily I call to witness the planets - that recede, 15 the planets that run their course and set, 16 and sit during the day, or by the darkening night 17 by the dawn sighing, 18 Verily this is the word of a most honourable Messenger, 19 of power, given a rank by the Owner of the Throne 20 [the word] of one to be heeded, and worthy of trust! 21 (O people of Makkah), your companion is not mad; 22 And indeed he saw him on the clear horizon. (Prophet Mohammed saw Angel Jibreel in his true shape peace and blessings be upon them). 23 Neither doth he withhold grudgingly a knowledge of the Unseen. 24 This is not the utterance of an accursed devil. 25 So whither do you stray? 26 This is a reminder for all the peoples of the world, 27 to every one of you who wishes to tread the straight path. 28 And you do not will except that Allah wills - Lord of the worlds. 29
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
