The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
When the sun Kuwwirat (wound round and lost its light and is overthrown). 1 and when the stars lose their light, 2 When the mountains vanish (like a mirage); 3 And when the camels big with young are abandoned, 4 And when wild animals are herded together. 5 And when the seas are set afire. 6 When the souls are sorted out, (being joined, like with like); 7 And when the girl buried alive shall be asked: 8 for what offence was she killed? 9 And when the books are spread, 10 and when Heaven is laid bare; 11 hell is made to blaze, 12 And when Paradise is brought near. 13 [on that Day] every human being will come to know what he has prepared [for himself]. 14 I do not need to swear by the orbiting 15 the runners, the sinkers, 16 and the night as it darkly falls, 17 and the morn as it softly breathes: 18 Truly, this is the word brought by a noble messenger, 19 Endued with Power, with rank before the Lord of the Throne, 20 obeyed by (all creatures) and faithful to His trust. 21 And your companion is not insane. 22 he truly beheld him [the angel] on the clear horizon. 23 He is not chary of making public what is unknown. 24 This is not the utterance of an accursed devil. 25 Whither, then, will you go? 26 Verily, this (the Quran) is no less than a Reminder to (all) the 'Alamin (mankind and jinns). 27 for everyone of you who wishes to follow the Straight Way; 28 Though you cannot desire except as God will, the Lord of all the worlds. 29
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
