3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
Noah called to Us; and how excellent were the Answerers! 75 And We rescued him and his family from the great distress (i.e. drowning), 76 And We preserved his descendants. 77 And We kept his praise among the latter generations. 78 'Peace be upon Noah among all beings!' 79 Verily, thus do We reward the doers of good 80 he was one of Our believing worshipers. 81 We drowned all the others (besides Noah and his people). 82 ۞ AND, BEHOLD, of his persuasion was Abraham, too, 83 When he came to his Lord with a sound heart 84 and asked his father and his people, "What is that you worship? 85 Would you serve false deities instead of God? 86 Then what is your thought about the Lord of the worlds?" 87 And he cast a look at the stars 88 Then said: Lo! I feel sick! 89 And they turned their backs and went away from him. 90 Then he slipped unto their gods and said: eat ye not? 91 What aileth ye that ye speak not? 92 And he turned upon them a blow with [his] right hand. 93 Then they advanced toward him, hastening. 94 He said: worship ye that which ye carve. 95 when it is God who has created you and all your handiwork?" 96 They said: Build for him a furnace, then cast him into the burning fire. 97 So they contrived a plot against him, but We made them abject. 98 And [Abraham] said: "Verily, I shall [leave this land and] go wherever my Sustainer will guide me!" 99 My Lord, grant me [a child] from among the righteous." 100 whereupon We gave him the glad tiding of a boy-child gentle [like himself]? 101 and when he was old enough to go about and work with him, (one day) Abraham said to him: “My son, I see in my dream that I am slaughtering you. So consider (and tell me) what you think.” He said: “Do as you are bidden. You will find me, if Allah so wills, among the steadfast.” 102 But as soon as the two had surrendered themselves to [what they thought to be] the will of God, and [Abraham] had laid him down on his face, 103 We called out: "O Abraham, 104 thou hast already fulfilled [the purpose of] that dream-vision!" Thus, verily, do We reward the doers of good: 105 for, behold, all this was indeed a trial, clear in itself. 106 So We ransomed him for a great sacrifice, 107 and We let it (the beautiful praise) remain upon him in the latter (generations), 108 Salamun (peace) be upon Ibrahim (Abraham)!" 109 That is how We recompense the righteous: 110 He is truly among Our faithful creatures. 111 And We gave him the glad tidings of Is-haq, a prophet, and of the righteous. 112 And We sent blessings upon him and Ishaq; and among their descendants some who do good deeds, and some who clearly wrong themselves. 113

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
ColorfulQuran.com displays pages in one of three Arabic fonts. Each may appear with a one-third chance, adding more diversity to the already diverse colors. And the words remain unchanged forever. ColorfulQuran.com will have more beautiful fonts soon, God willing.
