The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the sky, and by the nightly comer! 1 And have you understood what the nightly arriver is? 2 It is the shining star -- 3 There is no soul but that it has over it a protector. 4 So let man observe from what he was created. 5 He is created from a drop emitted- 6 That issued from between the loins and ribs. 7 Surely He is able to bring him back 8 On the Day when secrets are disclosed, 9 Then he shall have no power nor any helper. 10 By the Firmament which returns (in its round), 11 And the earth which opens up (with verdure), 12 this is indeed a Decisive Word, 13 And it is not a thing for amusement. 14 Surely they will make a scheme, 15 But I am planning a plan. 16 So leave the unbelievers to themselves; respite them awhile. 17
God the Almighty always says the truth.
