Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

CONSIDER the bright morning hours, 1 And by the Night when it is still,- 2 Thy Lord hath not forsaken thee nor doth He hate thee, 3 The reward in the next life will certainly be better for you than worldly gains. 4 And verily thy Lord will give unto thee so that thou wilt be content. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and then gave you shelter? 6 And find you lost (that is, unrecognized by men) and guide (them to you)? 7 Did He not find thee needy, and suffice thee? 8 Therefore, the orphan shalt thou never wrong, 9 And as to the beggar, chide thou him not. 10 And proclaim the Grace of your Lord (i.e. the Prophethood and all other Graces). 11

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
