Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

THE AVARICE OF plenitude keeps you occupied 1 Until you visit the graves (i.e. till you die). 2 You shall know. 3 Again, no indeed, you shall soon know. 4 Indeed, were you to know the truth with certainty, 5 that you shall surely see Hell? 6 Again, you shall surely see it with the sight of certainty. 7 Then on that day you shall most certainly be questioned about the boons. 8

True are the words of God the Almighty.
