Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace

THE AVARICE OF plenitude keeps you occupied 1 Till you reach the grave. 2 Yes certainly, you will soon realise! 3 Again, no indeed, you shall soon know. 4 Nay, were ye to know with certainty of mind, (ye would beware!) 5 You have indeed to behold Hell; 6 Aye, ye will behold it with sure vision. 7 and on that Day you will most surely be called to account for [what you did with] the boon of life! 8

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
