The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ Triumphant indeed are the believers, 1 those who are humble in their prayer; 2 And who shun vain conversation, 3 And who are givers of poor-rate, 4 who guard their privates, 5 Except with those joined to them in the marriage bond, or (the captives) whom their right hands possess,- for (in their case) they are free from blame, 6 Those who desire to go beyond such limits they commit transgression, 7 and who are faithful to their trusts and to their pledges, 8 and those who attend to their prayers; 9 Those are the heirs 10 that shall inherit Paradise; and in it they shall abide for ever. 11 Verily We created man from a product of wet earth; 12 and then We cause him to remain as a drop of sperm in [the wombs] firm keeping, 13 then We created of the drop a clot then We created of the clot a tissue then We created of the tissue bones then We garmented the bones in flesh; thereafter We produced him as another creature. So blessed be God, the fairest of creators! 14 After that, at length ye will die 15 and then, behold! you shall be raised from the dead on Resurrection Day. 16 And indeed We have created above you seven heavens (one over the other), and We are never unaware of the creation. 17 And We sent down water from the sky in proper measure, then stored it in the earth; and indeed We are Able to take it away! 18 With it, We produced for you gardens of palms and vines, yielding abundant fruit for you to eat. 19 The tree that grows on Mount Sinai yields oil and seasoning for those who eat. 20 In the cattle, too, is a lesson for you. We let you drink of that which is in their bellies, and there are many benefits in them for you, and you eat of them, 21 and by them - as by the ships [over the sea] - you are borne [overland]. 22
