We also bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron: 114 And delivered them and their people from the great affliction. 115 And helped them, so that they became the victors; 116 And We gave them the divine writ that made [right and wrong] distinct, 117 And We guided them on the straight path. 118 And We left for the twain among the posterity: 119 "Peace be upon Moses and Aaron!" 120 This is how We reward those who do good: 121 Verily! They were two of Our believing slaves. 122 And Elias (El Yaseen) was among the Messengers. 123 When he said to his people: "Will you not be mindful of God? 124 Do you call on Ba'lan (the idol Baal) and abandon the Best Creator, 125 Allah, your Lord and Lord of your forefathers? 126 In response they denied him, so they will surely be brought forth as captives. 127 Except the chosen servants of Allah. 128 We left him thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among the following generations -- 129 Peace be unto Elias! 130 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 131 Surely he was one of Our believing servants. 132 So also was Lut among those sent (by Us). 133 When We saved him and his family, all, 134 except for an old woman who was among those that stayed behind. 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 Verily, ye pass by their (sites), by day- 137 And at night. Then will you not use reason? 138
