Pray, "Lord, if you would show me that [the punishment] of which they have been warned, 93 Then do not, O Lord, put me among the sinners." 94 And indeed We are Able to show you the promise they are given. 95 Repel thou the evil with that which is the best, We are the Best Knower of that which they utter. 96 And say: O my Lord! I seek refuge in Thee from the evil suggestions of the Shaitans; 97 I seek refuge in You lest they come to me." 98 Until, when death cometh unto one of them, he saith: My Lord! Send me back, 99 "So that I may do good in that which I have left behind!" No! It is but a word that he speaks, and behind them is Barzakh (a barrier) until the Day when they will be resurrected. 100 For when the Trumpet is blown, that day there shall be no kinship any more between them, neither will they question one another. 101 Then those whose scales are heavy, they are the successful. 102 But those whose scales weigh light will have ruined their souls; in Hell will they abide. 103 The Fire shall scorch their faces, exposing their jaws. 104 'What, were My signs not recited to you, and you cried them lies?' 105 They will reply, "Lord, our hard-heartedness overcame us and we went astray. 106 Get us out of this, O Lord. If we transgress we will surely be sinful." 107 'Slink you into it,' He shall say, 'and do not speak to Me. 108 There is a party of My servants who said, "Our Lord, we believe; therefore forgive us, and have mercy on us, for Thou art the best of the merciful." 109 But you took them for a laughing-stock, till they made you forget My remembrance, mocking at them. 110 Today I shall recompense them for their patience, for it is they that have won. 111 [Allah] will say, "How long did you remain on earth in number of years?" 112 They shall say, 'We have tarried a day, or part of a day; ask the numberers!' 113 He will say, "You stayed not but a little - if only you had known. 114 "Do you imagine that We created you without any purpose and that you would not be brought back to Us?" 115 So exalted be Allah, the True King; no god is there but He, the Lord of the honorable dominion. 116 One who worships things besides God has no proof of the authority of such things. God is certainly keeping the record of his deeds. The unbelievers will not have everlasting happiness. 117 And say: O my Lord! forgive and have mercy, and Thou art the best of the Merciful ones. 118
