The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By [the winds] that pluck out vehemently 1 and move [in their orbits] with steady motion, 2 and by those that speedily glide along (the cosmos), 3 by the angels who hasten along 4 by the managers (angels) affair. 5 On the Day, the shiverer shivers 6 and the second blast follows it, 7 Hearts on that day shall palpitate, 8 Their eyes humbled. 9 They say: "Shall we indeed be returned to (our) former state of life? 10 What! when we are rotten bones? 11 They will say: 'Then we are returned lost' 12 But verily, it will be but a single (Compelling) Cry, 13 When lo! they shall be wakeful. 14 Has Moses' story reached you? 15 How his Lord called him in the holy vale of Tuwa, 16 "Go thou to Pharaoh for he has indeed transgressed all bounds: 17 And say, "Hast thou the will to purify thyself; 18 Do you want me to guide you to your Lord, so that you should fear Him?'" 19 Then he shewed him the great sign. 20 but he cried lies, and rebelled, 21 Then he turned his back, striving. 22 and gathered his people together 23 then said: 'I am your lord, the most high' 24 So God seized him for the punishment of the Hereafter and this world. 25 Lo! herein is indeed a lesson for him who feareth. 26
