HENCE, [remember how it was] when thy Sustainer summoned Moses: "Go unto those evil doing people. 10 The people of Pharaoh. Will they not fear and take heed?" 11 'My Lord' he replied, 'I fear they will belie me 12 and "my breast is straitened and my tongue is not fluent; so send Aaron as well; 13 And they have a crime against me, so I fear that they shall slay me. 14 He said, “Not like this (any more); both of you go with Our signs, We are with you, All Hearing.” 15 Go, then, to Pharaoh and say to him: 'The Lord of the Universe has sent us 16 That you should send the children of Israel with us.' 17 Said Firaun, “Did we do not raise you amongst us, as a child? And you spent many years of your life among us!” 18 “And you committed the deed of yours that you committed, and you were ungrateful.” 19 Said Moosa, “I did that at a time when I was unaware of the consequences.” (In anger – See verse 28:15) 20 so I fled from you, fearing you. But my Lord gave me Judgment and made me one of the Envoys. 21 That is a blessing thou reproachest me with, having enslaved the Children of Israel.' 22 Fir'aun (Pharaoh) said: "And what is the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists)?" 23 Musa (Moses) said: "Lord of the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, if you seek to be convinced with certainty." 24 (The Pharaoh) said to those around him: "Do you hear?" 25 He said: Your Lord and the Lord of your fathers. 26 Said Firaun, “This (Noble) Messenger of yours, who has been sent towards you, has no intelligence!” 27 He said, 'The Lord of the East and West, and what between them is, if you have understanding,' 28 'If you take any other god except myself' he (Pharaoh) replied, 'you shall be thrown into prison' 29 and Moses asked, "Even if I show you a clear sign?" 30 Pharaoh said: "Then bring it if you are truthful at all." 31 So [Musa (Moses)] threw his stick, and behold, it was a serpent, manifest. 32 And he drew out his hand, and behold, it was white to all beholders! 33
