And remember Our servant Ayyub, when he called upon his Lord: The Shaitan has afflicted me with toil and torment. 41 [and thereupon was told:] "Strike [the ground] with thy foot: here is cool water to wash with and to drink!" 42 And We bestowed upon him new offspring, doubling their number as an act of grace from Us, and as a reminder unto all who are endowed with insight. 43 (and We said to him): “Take in your hand a bundle of rushes and strike with it, and do not break your oath.” Indeed We found him steadfast. How excellent a servant (of Ours) he was. Indeed he constantly turned (to his Lord). 44 And remember Our bondmen Ibrahim, and Ishaq, and Yaqub – the men of power and knowledge. 45 Lo! We purified them with a pure thought, remembrance of the Home (of the Hereafter). 46 And most surely they were with Us, of the elect, the best. 47 And remember Ismail and Al-Yasha and Zulkifl; and they were all of the best. 48 This is a Reminder, and verily, for the Muttaqun (pious and righteous persons - see V. 2:2) is a good final return (Paradise), 49 Everlasting Gardens – all its gates are open for them. 50 Reclining within them, they will call therein for abundant fruit and drink. 51 ۞ and with them maidens restraining their glances of equal age. 52 This is what you, [the righteous], are promised for the Day of Account. 53 this is Our provision, unto which there is no end.' 54 This is so! And for the Taghun (transgressors, disobedient to Allah and His Messenger - disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah, criminals, etc.), will be an evil final return (Fire), 55 Hell, where they will be roasted. An evil place to dwell! 56 This - let them taste it: scalding water and corruption. 57 and other similar to it, joined together. 58 (We shall say to their leaders): 'This is a troop rushing in with you, there is no welcome for them, they shall roast in the Fire' 59 They say, 'No, it is you have no Welcome; you forwarded it for us; how evil a stablishment!' 60 They will continue saying, "Lord, double the torment of fire for those who led us into this. 61 And they say, “What is the matter with us that we do not see the men whom we thought were evil?” 62 Is it that we mistakenly made fun of them; or have they disappeared from our sight?” 63 Lo! that is very truth: the wrangling of the dwellers in the Fire. 64
