And whatever of misfortune befalls you, it is because of what your hands have earned. And He pardons much. (See the Quran Verse 35:45). 30 You cannot thwart Him on the earth, and have no friend or helper apart from Him. 31 And of His Signs are the ships that sail in the sea like mountains. 32 and if He wills, He stills the wind, and they remain motionless on its back. Surely in that are signs for every man enduring, thankful. 33 Or He could wreck them for what they have done; yet there is much that He pardons. 34 Those who dispute Our verses may know that they have no asylum. 35 Whatever thing you have been given is the enjoyment of the present life; but what is with God is better and more enduring for those who believe and put their trust in their Lord. 36 And those who avoid the major sins and indecencies and, when angered, forgive; 37 And those who respond to their Lord and keep up prayer, and their rule is to take counsel among themselves, and who spend out of what We have given them. 38 and who, when insolence visits them, do help themselves -- 39 But [remember that an attempt at] requiting evil may, too, become an evil: hence, whoever pardons [his foe] and makes peace, his reward rests with God - for, verily, He does not love evildoers. 40 And whoever defends himself after his being oppressed, these it is against whom there is no way (to blame). 41 The way (of blame) is only against those who oppress men and wrongly rebel in the earth, for such there will be a painful torment. 42 And whosoever forbeareth and forgiveth - that verily is of the firmness of affairs. 43
