The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the Event will come to pass 1 Then will no (soul) entertain falsehood concerning its coming. 2 Abasing (some), exalting (others); 3 When the earth is violently shaken 4 And the mountains are broken down, crumbling 5 Becoming dust scattered abroad, 6 You shall then become three groups. 7 So those on the right how (fortunate) are those on the right! 8 And those on the left hand; how miserable shall those on the left hand be! 9 The third to the fore shall be the foremost. 10 It is they who are the close ones. 11 In the Gardens of Pleasure, 12 (a throng of the ancients 13 And a few from those of later times. 14 on lavish couches 15 reclining on them, arrayed face to face; 16 Youths of never-ending bloom will pass round to them 17 Cups and decanters, beakers full of sparkling wine, 18 Unheady, uninebriating; 19 and such fruits as they shall choose, 20 and such flesh of fowl as they desire, 21 And (there will be) Houris (fair females) with wide, lovely eyes (as wives for the pious), 22 like the pearls in their shells: 23 as reward for their deeds. 24 They will hear no nonsense there or talk of sin, 25 but only the tiding of inner soundness and peace. 26 And the companions of the right hand; how happy are the companions of the right hand! 27 [They will be] among lote trees with thorns removed 28 And clusters of banana plants. 29 And shade extended 30 And water everflowing. 31 and fruits abounding 32 Whose season is not limited, and their supply will not be cut off, 33 They shall be on upraised couches, 34 Perfectly We formed them, perfect, 35 Then We have made them virgins, 36 chaste, loving companions of the same age 37 for the people of the right hand 38

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
