Iron (Al-Hadeed)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
WHATSOEVER IS IN the heavens and the earth sings the praises of God. He is all-mighty and all-wise. 1 His is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth; He gives life and causes death; and He has power over all things. 2 He is the First and the Last, and the Outward and the Inward; and He is Knower of all things. 3 He it is who created the heavens and the earth in six periods, and He is firm in power; He knows that which goes deep down into the earth and that which comes forth out of it, and that which comes down from the heaven and that which goes up into it, and He is with you wherever you are; and Allah sees what you do. 4 To Him belong the heavens and the earth and to Him all things return. 5 He causes the night to enter in upon the day, and causes the day to enter in upon the night, and He is Cognizant of what is in the hearts. 6 Believe in Allah and His apostle, and expend of that whereof He hath made you successors to. Those of you who believe and expend - theirs shall be a great hire. 7 What could be your reason for not believing in God, when the Messenger calls on you to have faith in your Lord and He has already made a covenant with you, if indeed you are true believers? 8 It is He who sends down splendent revelations to His votary that he may take you out of darkness into light; for surely God is gracious and kind to you. 9 How is it with you, that you expend not in the way of God, and to God belongs the inheritance of the heavens and the earth? Not equal is he among you who spent, and who fought before the victory; those are mightier in rank than they who spent and fought afterwards; and unto each God has promised the reward most fair; and God is aware of the things you do. 10
