Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
I swear by the emissary winds, sent one after another (for men's benefit), 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 And [by] the winds that spread [clouds] 3 then winnow them thoroughly, 4 And by the angels that bring the revelations to the Messengers, 5 Whether of Justification or of Warning;- 6 What is promised will surely come to pass. 7 Thus, [it will come to pass] when the stars are effaced, 8 When the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 And when the mountains are blown away, 10 And when the messengers' time has come... 11 For what Day are these (portents) deferred? 12 For the Day of Sorting out. 13 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Decision? 14 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 15 Destroyed We not the former folk, 16 We will now cause the later ones to follow them: 17 Even thus shall We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 19 Did We not create you from a humble fluid, 20 which We then placed in a secure repository 21 Till a limit known? 22 So We did measure, and We are the Best to measure (the things). 23 Ah woe, that Day! to the Rejecters of Truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a container 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 And placed in it lofty and broad stablisers, and gave you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 28 Walk on to that which you called a lie. 29 Go on towards the threefold shadow 30 "Neither shading, nor of any use against the fierce flame of the Fire." 31 it throws spits as (high as a huge) palace, 32 as black camels. 33 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 34 On that day they will not be able to speak, 35 neither be given leave, and excuse themselves. 36 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 37 That will be a Day of Decision! We have brought you and the men of old together! 38 So if you have a plan, plan against Me (now). 39 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 40
