He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ HE FROWNED AND turned away, 1 Because a blind man came to him. 2 But what could tell you that per chance he might become pure (from sins)? 3 Or be admonished, and the admonition profit him? 4 But the self-sufficient, 5 Unto him thou attendest. 6 although it is not for you to be concerned if he remained unpurified. 7 And to him who came to you eagerly 8 And whereas he fears, 9 Him thou neglectest! 10 No indeed; it is a Reminder 11 So whoever wishes may remember it. 12 [It is recorded] in honored sheets, 13 Exalted and purified, 14 (Set down) by scribes 15 Honourable and obedient. 16 May man be slain how ungrateful he is! 17 From what substance did He create him? 18 Of a small seed; He created him, then He made him according to a measure, 19 Then He makes the Path easy for him; 20 then causes him to die and buries him, 21 Then when He pleases, He will bring him back to life. 22 Indeed, he has not fulfilled that which He has ordered him. 23 Let man consider his food: 24 That We watered it in abundance. 25 and let the earth to break open 26 then caused the grain to grow out of it, 27 together with grapes and vegetables, 28 Olives and dates, 29 And enclosed Gardens, dense with lofty trees, 30 and fruits and herbage, 31 for you and for your herds to delight in. 32 But when the deafening cry shall be sounded 33 On the day when a man fleeth from his brother 34 And from his mother and his father, 35 his wife and his sons: 36 On that day, each one has just one issue, which is enough for him. 37 Some faces on that day shall shine 38 Laughing, rejoicing. 39 whereas some faces will be covered with dust 40 Veiled in darkness, 41 those will be ones who denied the truth and were immersed in iniquity. 42
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.

Notes and Instructions
There are memorization exercises for the original Arabic and English transliterated Arabic modes only. The English translation mode has no memorization exercises.
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
