He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ He frowned and then turned away 1 that the blind man came to him. 2 for how can you know that he might seek to purify himself, 3 or take heed and derive benefit from [Our] warning? 4 As for him who was indifferent, 5 to him thou attendest 6 And no blame is on you if he would not purify himself 7 But as to him who came to thee striving earnestly, 8 And he feareth 9 of him you were unmindful. 10 No indeed, this is a Reminder; 11 So let him who pleases mind it. 12 upon highly honored pages, 13 exalted, purified, 14 [borne] by the hands of messengers 15 noble and pious. 16 Perish the human! How unthankful he is! 17 Of what substance God created him? 18 From a single sperm He created, then proportioned him, 19 Then He eased the way for him; 20 Then causeth him to die, and burieth him; 21 then, He will raise him when He wills. 22 By no means hath he fulfilled what Allah hath commanded him. 23 Then let mankind look at his food - 24 It is We Who pour forth water, pouring, 25 And We split the earth in clefts, 26 Then We cause to grow therein the grain, 27 grapes, vegetables, 28 And olives and palms 29 And thick gardens, 30 and fruits and herbage, 31 For use and convenience to you and your cattle. 32 But when the deafening cry shall be sounded 33 it will be such a day when a person will run away from his brother, 34 his mother, his father, 35 And from his wife and his children. 36 Everyone on that Day will have affairs to keep him occupied. 37 Faces on that Day shall be beaming, 38 and be cheerful and joyous. 39 And (many) faces on that day, on them shall be dust, 40 Blackness will cover them. 41 Those are the disbelievers, the wicked ones. 42
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
