The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Hallow thou the name of thine Lord, the Most High, 1 Who hath created and then proportioned, 2 And the One Who kept proper measure and then guided. 3 who brought forth the pasturage 4 Then makes it dried up, dust-colored. 5 We shall make thee read (O Muhammad) so that thou shalt not forget 6 Except what Allah pleases, surely He knows the manifest, and what is hidden. 7 And We shall make easy for you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) the easy way (i.e. the doing of righteous deeds). 8 Therefore, keep on preaching as long as it is of benefit. 9 Those who have fear of God will benefit 10 but aloof from it will remain that most hapless wretch 11 Who will burn in the terrible Fire, 12 in which he will neither die nor live therein. 13 He indeed shall be successful who purifies himself, 14 And recites the name of his Lord and serves with devotion. 15 But you prefer the worldly life, 16 and the world to come is better, and more enduring. 17 Verily! This is in the former Scriptures, 18 the scrolls of Abraham and Moses. 19
