Thorns (Al-Masad)
5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
The power of Abu Lahab will perish, and he will perish. 1 His substance availed him not, nor that which he earned. 2 He will [enter to] burn in a Fire of [blazing] flame 3 and his wife, laden with firewood 4 Will have a strap of fibre rope around her neck. 5
Almighty God's Truth.
