Therefor warn (men, O Muhammad). By the grace of Allah thou art neither soothsayer nor madman. 29 Or do they say: "(Muhammad SAW is) a poet! We await for him some calamity by time! 30 Tell them: "Keep on expecting, I am expecting with you." 31 Is it their minds that bid them [to take] this [attitude] - or are they [simply] people filled with overweening arrogance? 32 Or do they say: "He has fabricated it?" In fact, they will never believe. 33 So let them bring a single discourse like it, if they are truthful. 34 Or were they created out of naught? Or are they the creators? 35 Or did they create the heavens and the earth? Nay, but they have no firm Belief. 36 Or are with them the treasures of your Lord? Or are they the tyrants with the authority to do as they like? 37 Have they a stairway whereby they overhear? Then let their listener bring an authority manifest. 38 Or does Allah have daughters whereas you have sons? 39 Or do you demand any wages from them so that they are burdened with expense? 40 Or is the hidden with them, by which they pass judgements? 41 Or do they want to entrap [thee in contradictions]? But they who are bent on denying the truth - it is they who are truly entrapped! 42 Or have they a deity other than Allah? Exalted is Allah above whatever they associate with Him. 43 AND YET, if they [who refuse to see the truth] were to see part of the sky falling down, they would [only] say: "[It is but] a mass of clouds!" 44 Then leave them, till they encounter their day wherein they shall be thunderstruck, 45 the Day when none of their scheming will be of the least avail to them, and they will receive no succour. 46 And indeed for the unjust is another punishment before this, but most of them do not know. (Punishment in the grave is proven by this verse.) 47 Now await in patience the command of thy Lord: for verily thou art in Our eyes: and celebrate the praises of thy Lord the while thou standest forth, 48 And glorify Him in the night and when the stars begin to wane. 49
