The Sun (Al-Shams)
15 verses, revealed in Mecca after Destiny (Al-Qadr) before The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the sun and his morning brightness 1 by the moon when it follows the sun, 2 Consider the day as it reveals the world, 3 by the night, when it envelops it! 4 And the heaven and Him Who made it, 5 The earth and its spreading out, 6 and by the soul and by Him Who perfectly proportioned it, 7 And inspired it (with conscience of) what is wrong for it and (what is) right for it. 8 He will indeed be successful who purifies it, 9 And he will indeed fail who corrupts it. 10 (The tribe of) Thamud denied (the truth) in their rebellious pride, 11 when the most wretched of them uprose, 12 Then the messenger of God said to them, "This is God's she-camel. Let her drink." 13 But they denied him, and they hamstrung her, so Allah doomed them for their sin and rased (their dwellings). 14 And for Him is no fear of its consequences. 15

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
